Veenendaal/NL, Kruibeke/BE, November 2018. Henk Slotboom joined the well-renowned manufacturer Mitutoyo in the year 2008. Shortly after the European headquarter in Neuss/Germany had been established he took over the office of the Director Operations at Mitutoyo Europe GmbH.

The Dutchman boasts a lot of experience in leadership, sales, quality control and strategic planning that he has shown in various enterprises. He has successfully led Mitutoyo Europe GmbH into a new era of applying a fully-fledged ERP system, introduced a new logistic provider and shaped the structures and operations of the young European headquarter.

“I’m honoured by the confidence the company places in me. I am looking forward to return to my home country and meet all the challenges that business life will bring up”, says Slotboom. He will take over the position as the Managing Director from January 1, 2019.

Then the 51 year old manager will hold dual positions: In addition to his new job as the Managing Director of the Benelux subsidiaries he remains Board Member at Mitutoyo Europe GmbH in Neuss. Slotboom is already familiar with Mitutoyo Benelux whose operations he will manage: From 2008 through 2012 he held the position of a Sales & Marketing Manager in charge of the markets in Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. He will form an experienced team with his Sales Directors Jeroen Bax (The Netherlands, right) and Jan van Houwe (Belgium and Luxemburg, left).
